USES OF BITUSEAL T5:
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: Surfaces must be clean, without grease, oil, dust, or loose material. Prime first with BituSeal T3.
GENERAL WATERPROOFING:
Acts as a barrier against water and moisture. Suitable for:
- Roofing felt
- Concrete/cement surfaces
- Mastic asphalt
- Corrugated iron
- Slate tiles
- Lead, copper, or zinc surfaces
METAL PROTECTION:
Helps prevent corrosion on:
- Metal pipes
- Structural steel
- Other metallic equipment
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Apply one coat of primer (BituSeal T3 diluted with 50% water).
2. Follow with two coats of BituSeal T3.
3. Install a layer of non-woven mar-glass membrane.
4. Apply two coats of BituSeal T5.
5. Finish with one protective coat of BituSeal T7.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
COVERAGE:
Approximately 0.75 kg per square meter per coat on a reasonably smooth surface.
EQUIPMENT CARE:
Clean tools with water immediately after use. If the product has dried, use paraffin, kerosene, or white spirit.
APPLICATION NOTES:
Apply two coats of BituSeal T5 with a stiff bristle brush to a damp surface, allowing 24 hours drying time between coats. Shield freshly applied areas from rain and dust. For added reinforcement, an open woven glass fiber membrane can be embedded for extra strength and durability.
